Consultation has concluded

‘The Trinette Street end of Homestead Park is a popular and loved space for adventurous play, birthday parties and family gatherings in our neighbourhood. The park also attracts dog lovers, futsal stars-to-be and more.

In response to requests from residents, Council’s Parks team has investigated a suitable location for toilet facilities, that would complement the existing infrastructure and allow park users to extend their visits.

The proposed facility would have 1 x unisex disabled cubicle, 1 x unisex ambulant cubicle and will utilise the existing footpaths to provide universal accessibility. The proposed site has been strategically positioned outside the flood affected area with easy visibility for all existing park amenities.

The facility is proposed to be situated in a convenient location between the playground and sporting facilities to provide a much needed service to the community who visit the park. It is envisaged to include attractive artwork, so that this addition improves the amenity to the park as well as functionality’.
