Consultation has concluded

Queensland legislation requires local governments to prepare a Local Government Infrastructure Plan (LGIP) every five (5) years. The LGIP is a long term plan outlining the trunk infrastructure (e.g. water treatment facilities, sewerage treatment plants, major roads, parks) needed to serve the community and support growth across the city. It includes standards of service and must be affordable (financially sustainable).

Logan City Council adopted LGIP v1 in May 2017 as part of an amendment to the Logan Planning Scheme 2015. Ahead of LGIP v2 due in 2022, Council is preparing an interim amendment (LGIP v1.1) to reflect updated costs and delivery schedules based on more detailed planning done since 2017. This interim amendment affects four (4) infrastructure networks: parks, movement (roads), water supply and wastewater (sewer).

Council is asking you to review the proposed changes and give us your feedback. The feedback period starts on Monday 22 July 2019 and ends on Friday 9 August 2019. After that, we will consider your input as part of finalising the changes. We will let you know how we have responded to your feedback. The changes may be adopted as an amendment to the Logan Planning Scheme later this year (2019).

Please see our Public Consultation Guide under important links for further information about the documents and maps available to review. The guide will also help you understand the changes, how to review them online in our Logan ePlan, and how to make an online submission using that tool.

Further information about trunk infrastructure planning is available on Council's website.
