Consultation has concluded
The process and procedures for Council's committee meeting are currently being reviewed with a view to developing a consolidated framework for meetings.
As part of this review, content from Local Law No. 1 (Meetings) 1997 and Subordinate Local Law No. 1.1 (Local Government Meetings) 1997 will be incorporated into the new framework, and therefore, the local law and subordinate local law will no longer be required.
Local Law No. 1 (Meetings 1997 and Subordinate Local Law No. 1.1 (Local Government Meetings) 1997 are proposed to be repealed, and this will coincide with the implementation of the new meetings framework, which is currently being drafted.

The proposed repealing local laws are available for community feedback from 29 October - 11.45pm 17 November 2019.
