Consultation has concluded and the outcomes have been published. Please read the update below.

Tree Planting Day

The launch of Restoring Belivah Creek was held on Sunday 22nd April (Earth Day) at Willmann Park, Belivah. Over 100 community members helped celebrate the day by planting over 1600 trees within Area 1C of the Restoration Belivah Creek Restoration Plan.

Final Restoration Concept Plan

Community comments and suggestions gathered through the recent community engagement process have been passed onto the consultant and incorporated into the final Restoration Concept Plan. Documents can be found in the Document Library to your right of screen or follow the link for a more in-depth article. Details here. Contractors are currently being engaged to begin restoration works on Areas 1 and 2.

Previous consultation phase

Logan City Council is developing a plan to restore the habitat and improve the usability of Belivah Creek.

Belivah Creek provides an important corridor, linking the lowland sub-tropical rainforest (an endangered ecological community) at the Albert River, to dry rainforests on Bahrs Hill. Restoring the public land surrounding the creek will not only improve this important ecological corridor, it will also help increase significant habitat for threatened flora and fauna.

We want to make sure that the community is able to have a say on the proposed revegetation and restoration of the public land surrounding Belivah Creek.

Please review the concept plans in the 'Document Library' section to the right of the screen. You can then provide your feedback in the 'Forum' and 'Drop a Pin' on the map to share your ideas of how we should restore the habitat and improve the usability of Belivah Creek.
